Utilizing a highly sensitive timing system with internal tungsten-filled chambers that reduce vibration and focus energy more efficiently, the ProKennex Kinetic Energy technology protects players from harmful impact forces and creates the most efficient energy transfer from paddle to ball.
The micro-tungsten beads are embedded in the paddle’s perimeter, absorbing impact vibration before it has a chance to travel from the paddle up your arm and into the soft tissues in your joints.
Due to the extreme power and pop of the Black Ace, we felt it obligatory to add an additional kinetic system in the handle of the paddle, enhancing the paddle with one extra layer of filtration of shock, torque and vibration. The tungsten beads within the kinetic system are now viewable through the end cap of the paddle.
An independent study by MIT Labs found that the ProKennex’s Kinetic system reduced vi bration by 43% causing significantly less damage to the arm.

After doing some research, I purchased the Black Ace Pro to help mitigate elbow pain. The paddle has a lot of pop, which is nice, but the sweet spot is something to be desired. I agree with many of the reviews I read, you have to get use to this paddle, especially if you coming off of a 14mm or thicker. It is less forgiving, but allows for fast hands. The fiber weave appears to be at a different angle, which allows for great spin with the head in a downward direction (serving), but less for the typical topspin (as compared to my CRBN and other high-end Toray 700 paddles that I have played with). I will be adding weights and an overwrap to help finish the paddle out. I was surprised to see the face delaminating as quick as I did, as my CRBNs should no signs of wear in just a short period of time. Overall, great paddle…especially on a close out price.
