Utilizing a highly sensitive timing system with internal tungsten-filled chambers that reduce vibration and focus energy more efficiently, the ProKennex Kinetic Energy technology protects players from harmful impact forces and creates the most efficient energy transfer from paddle to ball.
The micro-tungsten beads are embedded in the paddle’s perimeter, absorbing impact vibration before it has a chance to travel from the paddle up your arm and into the soft tissues in your joints.
Due to the extreme power and pop of the Black Ace, we felt it obligatory to add an additional kinetic system in the handle of the paddle, enhancing the paddle with one extra layer of filtration of shock, torque and vibration. The tungsten beads within the kinetic system are now viewable through the end cap of the paddle.
An independent study by MIT Labs found that the ProKennex’s Kinetic system reduced vi bration by 43% causing significantly less damage to the arm.

I've been playing with the ProKennex Ovation Flight over the last year and felt that it gave me tremendous control all over the court, and speed at the kitchen line. My touch was precise and my hand battles were usually won. When I got into some tougher matches with very skilled opponents, I noticed my slams were not jumping off my paddle like they were for the other players. Well, enter the Black Ace Ovation. Man that ball jumps now! While I have lost just a bit of control and touch with it, I noticed how quickly I've started to get it back already after playing with the paddle 3 times. I'm still hitting a few too many shots long off topspin returns and some of my blocks pop up, but it's teaching me to use even softer hands and a gentler approach, so I use less energy overall. In other words, the power is there when I need it now! I also get enough spin to create problems for my opponents and the build quality is off the charts. My old Ovation Flight was a light 7.6 oz. This Black Ace Ovation comes in at 7.9oz and feels even lighter due to the tremendous balance of weight distribution. I found my perfect paddle.

Plays different from my ovation speed and spin. Still getting used to the differences but can really cut some sidespin when I try. Like the power - similar to the speed but with a bit more umph. I like all three of my Pro Kennex paddles but I'm sure this will be my fav before long.

I bought this for my husband and ended up keeping it for myself, so I had to buy a second. It is excellent for both control & power, while helping to keep my arm from injury, with the advanced technology from ProKennex. I also have the ovation Flight paddle, which was great but lacked power for me. The Black Ace won’t disappoint. I do wish it came in more colors, however.
